Mosaic investe R$ 134 milhões em terminal portuário no Paraná

A Mosaic Fertilizantes, maior produtora global de fosfatados e potássio combinados, oficializou no dia 16 de novembro o investimento de cerca de R$ 134 milhões no terminal portuário da Fospar, administrado pela empresa em Paranaguá (PR). O aporte foi feito por meio do Programa de Parceria de Investimentos (PPI), criado pelo Governo Federal. A otimização do terminal da Fospar, no Porto de Paranaguá, prevê um aumento na capacidade de descarga de fertilizantes de 2,4 milhões de toneladas ao ano para 3 milhões de toneladas. A empresa realizará a construção de um novo armazém com capacidade de 45 mil toneladas, totalizando capacidade total de 105 mil de toneladas. Haverá também mais um sistema de correia transportadora do píer até o terminal, bem como torres de carregamento de caminhões.
O Porto de Paranaguá é o principal porto para a descarga de fertilizantes no Brasil, sendo responsável pelo recebimento de 42% de um volume de 20 milhões de toneladas do produto ao ano.
