Alex Carvalho Borba, de 27 anos, foi o grande vencedor da competição ?Melhor Motorista de Caminhão de Minério?. A final foi realizada no último sábado (6), no Condomínio Alphaville, em Nova Lima (MG). Influenciado pelo pai e pelo irmão, que também são caminhoneiros, Borba transporta minério pela JWC Transportes há sete anos. Para ele, manter a calma foi fundamental para chegar ao primeiro lugar. ?As provas de manobra foram as mais difíceis, e pra mim o segredo foi deixar o nervosismo totalmente de lado. Além disso, tirei muitas dicas importantes da palestra educativa que assisti na semifinal?, revela o campeão, que se classificou para a final na etapa de Itabirito. O segundo e terceiro lugares foram ocupados, respectivamente, por Wilson Luiz Moreira, de Itabirito, e Custódio Duarte Lanna Neto, de Contagem. Para a grande final, seis motoristas vencedores das semifinais regionais fizeram novas provas teóricas e práticas individuais, que incluíam um questionário sobre segurança nas estradas, verificação de itens de segurança nos veículos, teste de percurso e manobras.?Nosso objetivo é promover a importância do treinamento e da segurança nas estradas. Afinal, eles transportam grande parte das riquezas de nosso país, e é dever de todos contribuir para a melhoria das condições de trabalho desses profissionais?, relata João Miguel Capussi, diretor de Marketing e Comunicação Comercial da Scania no Brasil.
