Cazaquistão tenta criar clima favorável aos investimentos

O Cazaquistão tem uma das maiores delegações presentes ao 24º World Mining Congress, no Rio de Janeiro, e vai sediar a próxima edição do evento. Zamir Saginov, secretário-executivo do Ministério de Desenvolvimento e Investimento do Cazaquistão, participou da abertura do Congresso, nesta terça-feira (18/10), no Rio de Janeiro (RJ) e disse que o país procura criar um clima favorável aos investimentos. Ele explicou que o setor de mineração cazaque tem investido em transparência e compliance. ?Planejamos aprovar lei no ano que vem para aproximar nosso setor mineral dos padrões ocidentais?, afirmou.;Hoje, a mineração representa 13% do PIB do Cazaquistão, e responde por 50% do setor industrial. Saginov afirma que o potencial de crescimento é grande. ?Estamos em sexto lugar em produção mineral e no terceiro em minério per capita, com apenas 15% do território explorado?, explicou.;Além da proximidade geográfica com o mercado chinês, o Cazaquistão conta com grande variedade mineral. ?Somos os maiores produtores globais de urânio, mas temos zinco, prata e uma das maiores jazidas de carvão?, disse Saginov. O cobre ainda não foi explorado no país, mas possui grande potencial, com jazidas estimadas em US$ 3 trilhões. ?Pelo menos US$ 2 milhões são extraíveis?, destacou o secretário-executivo.;Nos últimos anos, a queda de 30% no preço global das commodities atingiu a economia cazaque, mas não houve grande redução no volume de minério produzido. ?Vamos continuar crescendo e produzindo e queremos aumentar nossa eficiência?, concluiu Saginov.
