Vale é reconhecida mais uma vez pelo CDP Climate Change Program

A Vale, mais uma vez, foi positivamente reconhecida pelo CDP Climate Change Program, único sistema de divulgação global para que empresas, cidades, estados e regiões gerenciem seus impactos ambientais a fim de que investidores e compradores possam acessar informações ambientais comparáveis e padronizáveis para suas decisões financeiras. No dia 13 de dezembro, em evento realizado em São Paulo, a Vale ainda foi nomeada como empresa líder no Programa CDP no ano de 2016.
Em relação às mudanças climáticas (o CDP Climate Change), nossa empresa melhorou sua performance da banda B para a A-, demonstrando a qualidade e a transparência dos dados reportados sobre o assunto. Já em gestão de recursos hídricos (o CDP Water), a Vale atingiu a nota B, em uma escala de A a F, um resultado que reforça nossa busca pela mitigação de impactos, a implementação de uma política e uma estratégia para embasar suas ações, e estabeleceu metas relacionadas à utilização de água nas operações.
A área de Meio Ambiente da Vale responde ao questionário do CDP Climate Change desde 2006 e do CDP Water desde 2011. ?Nesse processo, o apoio das áreas operacionais, bem como das áreas corporativas de Saúde e Segurança, Risco, Energia e Suprimentos, é de extrema importância para a consolidação das informações reportadas.
