Sustentabilidade e bons negócios

A busca por lucratividade baseada em processos sustentáveis é, hoje, uma realidade, que visa o equilíbrio entre três pilares – ambiental, econômico e social, para obter bons negócios. Em uma gestão responsável é preciso que as práticas sustentáveis sejam multiplicadas entre todos os atores envolvidos. Toda a rede de fornecedores, parceiros, clientes e até mesmo consumidores e governos, devem estar comprometidos com a causa. Portanto, a sustentabilidade exige a convergência de mercados em busca de objetivos comuns, buscando ações e ferramentas que contribuam para essa integração. Ao percebermos que apostar em crescimento sustentável é investimento e não despesa, tanto para empresas privadas como para o setor público, todos sairão beneficiados.Do lado corporativo, além de fortalecer as estruturas da empresa no mercado, oferecendo credibilidade e confiabilidade à marca, a visão sustentável também auxilia a companhia na aquisição de créditos e contribui com a eficiência do negócio, gerando maior lucratividade. Alguns fatos do mercado mundial também já demonstram algumas mudanças significativas. Por exemplo, as principais bolsas de valores do mundo, incluindo a Bovespa, possuem índices diferenciados para os negócios sustentáveis e suas ações têm mostrado uma estabilidade maior do que as outras, mesmo, em tempos de crise. Os bancos de varejo disputam a posição do “mais sustentável”, afinal, esse valor significa ainda mais segurança no longo prazo. No Brasil, o investimento em controle ambiental das indústrias passou de R$ 2,2 bilhões, em 1997, para R$ 4,1 bilhões, em 2002, dados da Pesquisa Industrial Anual (PIA-empresa). Foi considerada, além da aquisição de máquinas indústrias que incorporam a concepção de tecnologia limpa, a aquisição de equipamentos, obras com estação de tratamento e gastos para colocar esses itens em funcionamento.Cada vez mais, é preciso estar atento aos novos nichos de mercado. Principalmente em tempos de crise, os negócios “verdes” podem gerar grandes oportunidades de negócio. A ONU estima que a economia “verde” deverá contribuir, no mundo, com mais de 20 milhões de empregos até 2030. Esperamos que essas estimativas cresçam ainda mais e que, com uma maior consciência, possamos romper com o atual processo de desenvolvimento a qualquer custo para alcançar o desenvolvimento sustentável.
