Evento pretende atrair 10 mil visitantes

Realizado no perído de 11 a 13 de novembro, o primeiro encontro do Ibram na região Norte, compreende a Exposibram Amazônia e o I Congresso de Mineração e vem sendo realizado no Hangar Centro de Convenções e Feiras da Amazônia, em Belém, capital do Estado do Pará. De acordo com responsáveis pelo Ibram, são esperados mais de dez mil visitantes aos dois eventos, com destaque para os 130 estandes de expositores, distribuídos entre empresas do setor mineral da região e fornecedores de máquinas, equipamentos e acessórios.Já o congresso vem mobilizando grande número de participantes, com participação expressiva de alunos das principais universidades ligadas ao setor mineral da região. Ao todo serão realizadas 18 apresentações (entre palestras e workshops), além de sessões paralelas, com destaque para a palestra de Magnus Ericsson, principal executivo do Raw Materials Group, que falou sobre “Cenários para o Mercado de Commodities Minerais”, envolvendo as tendências do setor mineral brasileiro e mundial diante da crise internacional motivada pelo setor financeiro americano.
Cláudio Scliar, secretário de Geologia, Mineração e Transformação Mineral, do Ministério de Minas e Energia, proferiu palestra na tarde do primeiro dia do congresso, destacando, de forma contundente, todas as iniciativas e trabalhos realizados não apenas pela SGM, mas também pelo DNPM e CPRM/SGB, no sentido de consolidar, definitivamente, o setor mineral brasileiro. Scliar também procurou tranquilizar, na medida do possível, os representantes do setor mineral brasileiro presentes ao evento em relação à crise internacional que ameaça a indústria da mineração de um modo geral, mostrando que o País “vive um momento de tranquilidade e os fundamentos da economia nacional encontram-se em patamar de estabilidade e confiança”.
