MT vai a maior evento mundial de mineração em busca de investidores

Com a expectativa de conseguir até R$ 500 milhões em investimentos, representantes de Mato Grosso irão para o Canadá participar da; PDCA (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada), maior evento do mercado de mineração do mundo. A apresentação da Missão Comercial de Mato Grosso ao país foi feita nesta quinta (2).O objetivo da viagem é mostrar o potencial da mineração em Mato Grosso, que de acordo com o governador Pedro Taques é maior do que o potencial do solo [referência ao agronegócio]. A viagem acontece entre os dias 3 e 9 de março. Taques justificou a fala sobre o potencial mineral de Mato Grosso argumentando que mais de 88% do diamante extraído no Brasil tem origem no estado. Ele ainda disse que a extração interna do ouro tem aumentadoo nos últimos anos e pode começar a responder a uma fatia importante do faturamento do caixa estadual. Sobre a viagem, ele defendeu que será uma excelente oportunidade para que parcerias sejam estabelecidas.; ?Você não faz comércio internacional sem viajar. Você não faz busca e prospecção de negócios dentro do seu gabinete. Você não atrai turistas para Mato Grosso sem sair do lugar. Você precisa vender seu Estado, entre aspas, indo visitar os possíveis parceiros?, pontuou.Taques lembrou que a participação no evento foi fechada no ano passado após viagem de uma comitiva do governo até São Paulo, onde houve um encontro com o embaixador do Canadá do Brasil e com a Câmara de Comércio Brasil – Canadá. O secretário de Desenvolvimento Econômico (Sedec), Ricardo Tomczyk, explicou que as expectativas são altas e que os frutos desses investimentos serão a geração de receitas para o Estado – consequentemente mais investimentos em várias áreas – e ainda a geração de empregos.?Nosso foco é mostrar o potencial do Estado de Mato Grosso e também atrair investimentos para que empresas do exterior venham explorar isso. Nós precisamos que Mato Grosso faça com que essa área se torne riqueza gerada e desenvolvimento. E nós sabemos que temos o potencial. É só tornar isso efetivo?, comentou.O secretário lembrou também que um programa específico do setor de mineração, o Pró-Mineração, está sendo desenvolvido pela Sedec.O diretor presidente da Companhia Mato-Grossense de Mineração do Estado de Mato Grosso (Metamat), Marcos Vinícius Paes de Barros, defendeu a participação do governo na ação e pontuou sobre a necessidade de abertura dos estados ao mercado externo.?As empresas estrangeiras sempre procuram uma segurança institucional no Estado em que elas vão atuar. Então a Metamat, nesse caso, dará a garantia de que o investimento estrangeiro vai ter uma cobertura do governo de Mato Grosso?, argumentou.João Gebara, que é diretor de operações do Desenvolve MT, agência de fomento estadual, explicou um pouco do trâmite dos negócios entre Mato Grosso e Canadá e da expectativa de quanto essa interação poderá gerar de receita. ?Investimento em mineração é algo que é construído e respeita um processo. Primeiramente, se faz a apresentação da jazida para o investidor. Se ele estiver interessado, ele emite uma carta de interesse de investimento e vem ao Brasil para checar em loco a jazida. Depois disso, nós vamos para o país dele para fechar o contrato. Nossa expectativa é que essa comitiva que vai ao Canadá alcance mais de R$ 500 milhões em investimentos?, afirmou.
