The EXPOSIBRAM 2024 – Brazilian Mining | Expo & Congress came to a close on Thursday (September 12) with a ceremony held at the Expominas auditorium in Belo Horizonte (BH). With impressive numbers, the 2024 edition has become the largest in the history of EXPOSIBRAM. The event welcomed 86,000 visitors, who explored 15,000 square meters of space, featuring 600 booths. A total of 2,300 congress participants attended over 600 hours of content delivered by 320 speakers. During the Business Rounds, 26 mining companies hosted hundreds of suppliers in both in-person and online meetings.
The closing ceremony of EXPOSIBRAM 2024 was led by the Communication Director of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM), Paulo Henrique Soares, who announced the winners of the best booth awards and revealed which charitable institution would receive the household appliances and other items displayed in the House of Mining.
In his speech, Paulo Henrique began by celebrating the record-breaking figures achieved by EXPOSIBRAM 2024, thanking the sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, and visitors. “All these people contributed to the success of EXPOSIBRAM. Without them, we wouldn’t be here today,” he said.
Next, Paulo Henrique invited Claudia Bolzan, CEO of Lantex do Brasil — one of the Diamond category sponsors of EXPOSIBRAM 2024 — to the stage. She represented the event’s sponsors and suppliers. “I would like to thank IBRAM and everyone involved in this, the largest fair and congress in the mining sector in Latin America. It is a pleasure to be here,” she commented.
The closing speech was given by Fernando Azevedo e Silva, the Vice President of IBRAM. He thanked the organization’s team and invited them to the stage, also recognizing other professionals and companies that participated in EXPOSIBRAM 2024. “This was the largest edition of EXPOSIBRAM ever; we broke all records. I congratulate all the sponsors who joined us on this journey,” he celebrated.
