THE BRAZILIAN CONGRESS ON OPEN-PIT AND UNDERGROUND MINING – CBMINA
The Brazilian Congress on Open-Pit and Underground Mining is held each year in Belo Horizonte (MG) and provides a major forum for discussing open-pit and underground mining, as well as social, economic, legal, and environmental aspects related to mining activities.
The event brings the mining industry’s biggest names together in a single event and also helps to disseminate research carried out by academics and professionals working at both small and large-scale miners. It also presents several key awards for outstanding work in the mining industry. CBMINA provides a forum for high-level technical debates, as well as spaces for presenting new ideas aimed at developing Brazilian mining. The event is organized through means of a partnership between IBRAM and the Mining Engineering Department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
