IBRAM chooses new chairman of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) defined on the morning of this Thursday (24/3), the names of the new president and vice-president of the Council. Wilfred Bruijn, CEO of mining company Anglo American in Brazil, takes over the presidency, replacing Wilson Brumer. The vice presidency was assumed by Ediney Drummond, CEO of Lundin Mining Corporation. He replaces Eduardo Augusto Ayroza Galvão Ribeiro, CEO of Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração – CBMM.
Recently, IBRAM also had a new CEO, Raul Jungmann, who replaced Flávio Ottoni Penido.
The new governance of IBRAM has bold goals ahead, such as consolidating the next steps of the ESG Agenda for Mineração do Brasil, a sectorial proposal to improve sustainability, safety and social responsibility indicators. In addition, IBRAM will act to expand spaces for the generation of opportunities for sustainable development in the mineral sector and to multiply investments in new projects and expansion of industrial plant
