IBRAM participates in the inauguration of the Brazilian Pavilion at the PDAC 2023 convention

With the presence of Brazilian authorities from the private and public sectors, the Brazilian pavilion was inaugurated last Sunday (5/3) at the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada – PDAC 2023, which takes place in Toronto, Canada, until the day March 8th. The ceremony was attended by the CEO of the IBRAM, Raul Jungmann, the Brazilian ambassador to Canada, Pedro Henrique Lopes Borio, the consul general in Toronto, Wanja Campos da Nóbrega, the chairman of the Superior of the Agency for the Development and Innovation of the Brazilian Mineral Sector (ADIMB), Marcos André Gonçalves, IBRAM’s Director of Communication, Paulo Henrique Soares, among others.
For Raul Jungmann this is an excellent opportunity to exchange, learn and learn more about world mining, in addition to exposing the activity carried out in Brazil to the world, with sustainability and responsibility towards everyone around him.
The CEO of IBRAM also took the opportunity to invite everyone to participate in the International Conference on the Amazon and New Economies, which will take place in August in the city of Belém (PA). “The Amazon, the original peoples, the standing forest and its biodiversity make up an important scenario for Brazil and also for the world. Debating these issues is essential and also creating a network of articulation and support for the new economies in the region”, he said. He also announced that IBRAM will organize an event, in November, on strategic minerals essential for the transition to a low-carbon economy.
The Brazilian agenda at the event continues until 3/7 with several lectures on topics of interest to the global mining chain, such as the energy transition, the fight against climate risks, Brazil’s geological potential for minerals that are critical and strategic to this clean agenda. , the current and future challenges of the activity in the country, among others.
Brazil participates in the PDAC 2023 convention with a delegation, organized by ADIMB, of approximately 80 people, representing different segments of the Brazilian mineral industry. In addition to the pavilion, there will be the Brazilian Mining Day, with a series of presentations by representatives of the government and the private sector.
