One of the largest mining events in Latin America, the Brazilian Mining Expo & Congress (EXPOSIBRAM 2024), will feature more than 500 stands and five simultaneous stages. The prospect is to receive more than 70 thousand people during the four days of the event, 2 thousand delegates and around 500 exhibitors. The number of available stands were all filled in advance, with the participation of Brazilian and foreign exhibitors, from countries such as Italy, the United States, China, Canada, Germany, Chile, Ireland, the Netherlands, England and Peru. EXPOSIBRAM will take place from September 9th to 12th, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. More information can be found on the website.
The Brazilian Mining Congress will have five stages with simultaneous lectures. According to the CEO of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM), Raul Jungmann, the wide range of topics is very rich. “We will have the opportunity to cover a significant range of topics. This contributes to the creation of a more dynamic event, with greater opportunities for businesspeople in the sector, scholars and other audiences”, he says.
Among the various themes, some stand out, such as the energy transition and taxation. According to IBRAM’s Research and Development Manager, Cinthia de Paiva Rodrigues, forms of financing energy transition projects, economic agenda, market perspectives, tax and fiscal risks, political risks and other issues sensitive to the sector will be discussed. “Let’s talk about transparency of royalties, the discussion of nuclear minerals, let’s talk about fertilizers and small mining. We have many interesting themes”, he highlights.
Furthermore, during an interview with the Mining Podcast, Cinthia reinforces that publications launched by IBRAM in 2024, such as the complete study of the greenhouse gas inventory for the mining sector, will be debated in more depth with experts and professionals from the mineral sector.
