O Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) He participated in an annual meeting of the Latin American Mining Organization (OLAMI), held during the parallel program of PDAC 2026 in Canada. The meeting included representatives from the mining sector of countries such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico, strengthening regional coordination around strategic issues for mining.

The Institute was represented by Pablo Cesário, Director of Institutional Affairs and interim president; Julio Nery, Director of Mining Affairs; and Cinthia Rodrigues, Research and Development Manager. During the Assembly, participants shared event agendas, aligned priorities, and discussed initiatives for strengthening the institutional framework of sector entities in Latin America.

Also presented was the proposal to hold the 1st OLAMI Congress on Comparative Mining Law, an initiative that seeks to expand the exchange of experiences on regulatory frameworks and encourage greater institutional convergence among Latin American countries.
