Brazilian critical mineral projects were presented to international investors.

On the second day of the annual convention Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026held in Toronto, Canada, the Director of Mining Affairs of Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) Julio Nery participated in the opening panel of Brazilian Mining Day. The initiative highlighted Brazil as a promising destination for mining investments, especially in critical mineral projects.

During his participation, Julio Nery stated that institutional coordination and the joint effort of Brazilian entities in the mining sector are fundamental to increasing the country's visibility and attracting new investments.

Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB) and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI)According to him, coordinated action between institutions is crucial to expanding the international promotion of Brazil's mineral potential. He also emphasized the strategic role of regulatory agencies in guaranteeing legal certainty and predictability for the sector, in addition to highlighting geological knowledge as one of the country's main competitive advantages. Finally, he reinforced the commitment of Brazilian mining to diversity as a driver of progress, innovation, and strengthening competitiveness.

The opening session was coordinated by the president of the Council of Agency for the Development and Innovation of the Brazilian Mineral Sector (ADIMB), Marcos André Gonçalves, and was attended by representatives from ApexBrasil, the Brazilian Embassy in Ottawa, SGB, and the Women in Mining Brazil (WIM Brazil) movement.

Critical mineral projects attract international investors.

Held throughout Tuesday (March 3), the Brazilian Mining Day featured an unprecedented agenda dedicated to presenting Brazilian critical mineral projects to potential international investors. The meeting brought together authorities from the mineral sector and mining companies seeking funding for initiatives at different stages of development, with a focus on junior companies geared towards mineral research and processing.

The presentation rounds were interspersed with moments of interaction and networkingThis strengthened the direct connection between entrepreneurs and investors. The projects presented encompassed different states, such as Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso, highlighting the country's geological diversity and Brazil's potential to expand its participation in the global supply of strategic minerals.
