The IBRAM presented this Tuesday (7/3) the publication “Brazil Country Mining Guide 2023” at the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada – PDAC 2023, which takes place in Toronto, Canada. The guide was created in partnership with KPMG.

“The Institute and KPMG, in different ways, have been working with foreign investors in the Brazilian mining sector over the last few decades. Thus, this guide represents an excellent opportunity to unite the experiences of IBRAM and KPMG, organizing the most relevant topics so that potential investors begin to better understand the investment environment and the Brazilian mining sector”, said IBRAM’s Director of Communication, Paul Henrique Soares.

During the presentation, Paulo Henrique recalled that Brazil is one of the five largest mineral producers in the world. “We have more than 3,000 mines spread across the national territory and around 90 mineral commodities are traded. This guide demonstrates the business opportunities in the Brazilian mineral sector”, he analyzed.

For him, the perspective for the next 15 years is one of growth and development. Among the main factors that should boost the mining sector in Brazil in the coming years, the following stand out: global demand, investments in infrastructure and technology, as well as supplies for the world to work in a more sustainable low-carbon format.
